taita Taveta socialTaita Taveta County is undergoing major transformation. Governor Eng. John Mruttu on 12th June 13, 2017 handed over three projects to residents of Rong'e, Mwatate sub-county.The projects included Mariwenyi Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) center, Langateni and Msau community social halls. Speaking during the handing over ceremony the Governor reaffirmed the public of his commitment to uplift the living standard of the county residents.
He said the projects were community's priority hence the County Government had an obligation to ensure they are completed and handed over to the community for use. "The projects that am handing over today was what you prioritised and now they are complete," said Mruttu. He at the same time urged residents of Rong'e to elect leaders who will stick to and deliver their promises to the residents.
Already 16 ECDE centers in Rong'e ward are complete, Langateni and Musau community halls are fully furnished with 200 chairs each. The Governor was accompanied by Rong'e ward Member of County Assembly Haris Keke, County Executive Committee Member in charge of Education and Libraries Jemimah Tuja and her Trade and Community Affairs counterpart Flora Mtuweta among others.
